Certification Bodies
The Certification Body is an entity qualified to carry out tasks of quality control in the EPD verification procedure and to guarantee the correct qualification of all verifiers. This entity holds the responsibility of managing the verifiers’ body for the EPD verification. The certification bodies have at their disposal a data base with the individual records of the verifiers qualified for the EPD verification procedures to be registered in said programme.
Within the scope of the operating rules of the DAPHabitat System, in order to make an organisation recognisable as a certification body, it is necessary to deliver a collection of specific documents to the Programme Operator, identified in the General Instructions of the DAPHabitat System. After assessing the entity’s abilities, the Programme Operator shall proceed with the acceptance decision of the organisation as a certification body of the DAPHabitat System, which will be formally communicated to said organisation; also, a protocol between the certification body and the programme operator shall be signed.
